"A New Brain" is the final show in MTM’s 10th anniversary season, and it’s a great example of why they’ve become so crucial to the local theater scene. This isn’t a show that any other Madison company would likely have staged nearly as well." - Madison Magazine
"Delightful", "Stunning," "Imminently hummable tunes," "Strong, distinct voices," "Excels at dark comedy," "no-holds-barred exuberance." "It's easy to see why [MTM] wanted to bring this show to Madison audiences." -The Isthmus
A broken robot tango. A woman pretending to be a ventriloquist's dummy singing about penises. A synchronized swimming MRI machine. A guy in a frog suit riding a scooter. And some of the most beautiful music in contemporary musical theatre.

ABOUT THE SHOW
When composer Gordon Schwinn collapses into a plate of ziti, he is told he has a devastating brain disease that may take his life. With time running short, he strives to write the perfect song while his brain plays hilarious tricks on him. This delightful, heartwarming musical from the composer of THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE and one of the writers of INTO THE WOODS features catchy tunes, heartfelt moments, and a guy in a frog suit. It's the perfect way to celebrate the gifts of heart and music.
